Core grant projects are those which are based on external requests and nominations by ASR Africa. ASR Africa will support the implementation of such programs that align with its strategic objectives. The organization will implement through other organizations. This will entail a call for proposal, screening of applications and award of grants to successful grantees.
The ASR Africa Mentorship Program was conceived to address the under representation of women in STEM fields. It began as a shared vision among visionary women who met in New York on the Margins of United Nations Women Convention on the Status of Women (UN CSW 67). In partnership with ASR Africa, a beacon of philanthropy, and guided by a fervent belief in the untapped potential of these young minds, the mentorship program was born in an all-female Federal College of Education (Technical), Gusau, Zamfara state.
